Thanks to a generous grant from Orange and Rockland Utilities, awarded to South Orangetown Middle School Technology teacher Edith Nowak last year, eighth grade Challenge Lab students are diving into the world of renewable energy by designing and building tiny home models powered by sustainable resources!

Forty-nine SOCSD student-musicians performed in the Rockland County Music Educators Association Intermediate All-County Music Festival at Clarkstown South High School February 28-March 1!

Last Saturday, 11 members of the South Orangetown Middle School Science Olympiad team competed against 39 teams from Rockland and Westchester at the Lower Hudson Valley Regional Tournament at Scarsdale Middle School.

Last weekend, 28 SOCSD student-musicians performed in the Rockland County Music Educators Association Junior All-County and Contemporary/Jazz Instrumental All-County Music Festivals at Fieldstone Middle School!
